YORK — Randall D. Lavigne, 42, of Foxtail Drive, died unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014 at home.

He was born Dec. 18, 1971 in Biddeford, a son of Monique P. (Boisso-nneault) Lavigne and the late Robert R. Lavigne.

He graduated from the University of New England and had worked as a physical therapist for 16 years for York Hospital.

His passion was sports ”“ whether it be playing or coaching his kids. He coached his kids in baseball, softball, soccer and basketball. As a teenager, he coached youth hockey in Biddeford. He enjoyed golfing, and playing cards and yard games. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. Above all, he loved spending time with his family.

He had served on the Board of Directors for York Little League. He was also a member of the York Golf & Tennis Club.

Besides his mother, Monique P. Lavigne of Biddeford, he leaves: his wife of 17 years, Rachel R. (Taylor) Lavigne; a daughter, Madison T. Lavigne; a son, Trevor R. Lavigne of York; two brothers, Michael W. Lavigne and his wife Karin of Old Orchard Beach and Shawn J. Lavigne and his wife Karen of Scarborough; sister-in-law, Jennifer J. Taylor and her husband Roger Carbonell of South Africa; his father- and mother-in-law Robert C. and Colette A. Taylor of York Harbor; a niece, Jessica M. Lavigne; five nephews, Nick A. and Devin A. Trumpler, Alex M.J. Lavigne, Max K. and Kyle X. Carbonell; also many friends and colleagues.

Calling hours will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19 in the Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Road, York. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20 in St. Christopher Church, 4 Barrell Lane, York.
