little darker on April 28, 2017. One of God’s beloved children
left us unexpectedly. His name, which will never be lost or
forgotten, was John Bennett.
For those of us who knew him or had the
privilege to meet him, there is a piece of our heart that he
possesses and always will.
John was very well known within our
community and made many friends over the years. He always had a
smile on his face and his laughter was contagious. His favorite
thing to do was to go fishing. He also enjoyed music and spending
time with friends.
He was a very kind man who would gladly help
anybody, either young or old. He was a real gentleman and was
lovingly known as Bennett by all of his friends. “Life is a path,
Death is a destination.”
He leaves behind his mother, Nancy
Bennett; his father, John Bennett; his aunts, Mary Bennett, Donna
Bennett Vickie Photinos, Rose Davila, Mary Photinos, Lucy Vazquez;
his uncles, Michael Photinos and Tom Santos; his siblings, Malissia
Allard and Rudy Harris and many cousins.
A celebration of life will be held for
John on Saturday, June 10 at 1 p.m. at Hanna’s
Tavern, located at 326 Country Club Road, Route 4, in Sanford.
Arrangements are under the direction of
Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
