WESTBROOK — Edgar D. “Eddie” Roberge, 66, of Westbrook, died Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014 at Dolley Farm in Westbrook, after a long illness.

He was born in Biddeford on June 4, 1948, the son of Lucien and Yvonne Nadeau Roberge.

He was educated in Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High School.

Mr. Roberge worked several years as a carpenter in the local area and was a tractor-trailer truck driver for Carl Subler of Saco.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially in the Allagash Valley.

He was preceded in death by: two brothers, Renald and Donald Roberge; and one sister, Doris Childress.

Surviving are: one son, Mark Roberge and his wife Michelle of Windham; two daughters, Betty Haskell and her husband Tom of Westbrook and Bonnie Roberge of Biddeford; one brother, Leo Paul Roberge and his wife Helen of Biddeford; three sisters, Lucienne Landry and her husband Romeo of Bellingham, Massachusetts, Rachel Labbe and her husband Peter and Laurenda Legros, all of Biddeford; one aunt, Rachel Goulet of Saco; one uncle, Brother Donald Nadeau, a missionary of Canada; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 9-10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014 at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
