ARUNDEL — Biddeford got two points from four different players, including a match-low score of 46 by Nick Conley, as the Tigers beat Massabesic 9-4 in an SMAA golf match at Dutch Elm Golf Course on Wednesday.

Conley and Jordan Stickles (48) both shot under 50 for their matches, and the Tigers also got two points from Kerry Crepeau and Tom Green.

Biddeford also won the team medal over Massabesic, 251-270.

The Mustangs were led by Matt Prokey, who carded a 48. Caleb Roy picked up two points for Massabesic as well, as he shot a 54.

YARMOUTH 4, WELLS 3

CAPE NEDDICK — Seamus McDonough shot a match-low 43 and two other Wells players earned points, but a close team medal score instead lifted visiting Yarmouth to a 4-3 win in a WMC golf match at Cape Neddick Country Club on Wednesday.

Shawn Ramsey and Cole Greaves joined McDonough as individual winners for the Warriors, but a 200-202 team medal score went in favor of the Clippers, who were led by a 49 from Nate Dealaman.

MARSHWOOD 8.5, KENNEBUNK 4.5

KENNEBUNK — Dom Haritos and Jonah Gauthier both carded a 44, but it wasn’t enough as host Kennebunk fell to Marshwood 8.5-4.5 in a Class A golf match at Webhannet Golf Club on Wednesday.

Haritos and Gauthier both swept their respective matches, and Connor Shillington matched Marshwood’s Tucker Etro in shooting a 52 to pick up .5 points for the Rams.

The Hawks were led by scores of 41 and 42 from Noah Jule and Jack Robert, respectively.

Marshwood won the team medal by a score of 227-238.

Field Hockey

YARMOUTH 6, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 0

YARMOUTH — The Old Orchard Beach field hockey team made its return to varsity action on Wednesday after a one-year hiatus, and the Seagulls were welcomed back by Class C power Yarmouth, which opened its season with a 6-0 victory at Yarmouth High School.

Mackenzie Rague led the Seagulls’ attack with four shots on goal.
