OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The celebration in the home clubhouse after the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide’s victory over Pittsfield on Wednesday night soon turned somber, as the owners of the team, John and Pam Gallo, announced that in its current state, the franchise might not return for a 2015 season.
The Gallos said that they are looking for more investors for the team, as the financial obligations to run the franchise are becoming increasingly harder to meet.
The Gallos said that no final decisions have been made yet, but they wanted to make the players aware of where the franchise stood.
The Gallos said they will release more information in a press release in the coming days or weeks, as they look over their options.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
