OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Russell C. “Chris” Lavoie, 42, of Old Orchard Beach, died unexpectedly in Biddeford on Sunday, July 6, 2014.
He was born Oct. 21, 1971 in Biddeford, a son of Russell and Margaret (Nason) Lavoie.
Chris was educated locally and had attended Biddeford High School.
He loved the outdoors and had generally worked outdoor jobs including paving and construction. His recreation included mountain climbing and hiking. Chris loved music and he enjoyed playing the guitar.
He is survived by: two daughters, Christa and Kaylen; his mother and stepfather, Margaret and Rod Johnson of Old Orchard Beach; his father, Russell Lavoie of Old Orchard Beach; two sisters, Deborah Krush of Brunswick, Georgia, and Laurie Proctor and her husband Scott of Biddeford; his long-time girlfriend, Sue Williams; two nephews; one niece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours will be Monday, July 14, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. Services will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Saco on Tuesday at 11 a.m. To share condolences online, visit www.hopememorial.com.
