PORTLAND — The Maine Red Claws, presented by Unum, have clinched a playoff spot and their third consecutive Atlantic Division title tonight, thanks to Delaware’s loss.
The Red Claws lost to Greensboro tonight, 122-105. Guerschon Yabusele, the first round NBA Draft pick of the Boston Celtics, made his Red Claws debut tonight, scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds in 25 minutes. Jordan Mickey, on assignment from the Celtics, led the Red Claws with 24 points tonight.
Despite the Red Claws’ loss, Delaware lost to Raptors 905 tonight, 123-103, clinching the division for Maine. The Red Claws’ magic number was one going into the evening.
This marks a third straight playoff appearance for head coach Scott Morrison, who has three division titles in three years at the helm of the Red Claws.
