KENNEBUNK — Ethel C. Dorais, 87, of Kennebunk, and formerly of Saco, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 Carlton Crown Plaza in Sacramento, Calif.

She was born in Plainfield, N.J. on March 5, 1927, a daughter of Shirley “Henry” and May (Enright) Fox.

She graduated from Plainfield High School in Plainfield, N.J.

She married her husband, Jean Paul, in 1946.

Mrs. Dorais volunteered in the operating room at the former Webber Hospital in Biddeford. She was a member and past president of the E & I Union. She was an accomplished artist whose work was well known. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and especially taking care of foster children.

Mrs. Dorais was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jean Paul Dorais, on Oct. 9, 2012; one brother, Alfred Fox; and one sister, Shirley Quimby.

She is survived by: her son, Michael Paul Dorais and his wife Patricia of Sacramento, Calif.; and by one daughter, Bernadette D’Ace of Thermopolis, Wyo.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
