She was born in Buxton, Aug. 4, 1926 the daughter of Everard and Alfa Thompson Atkinson.
Carolyn attended local schools and was past Treasurer for the South Buxton Cemetery Association.
She is predeceased by her husband Thomas ( Bud) Walsh in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters Susan Meader and her husband Raymond of Chelsea, Maine, and Jackie Foss and her husband Duane of Bar Mills; five grandchildren Nicole, Thomas, Patrick, Nicholas and Emma; and two great-grandchildren, Anthony and Dakota.
A graveside service will be held at South Buxton Cemetery in the spring where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Bud.
