BIDDEFORD — Corey Creeger pitched a complete-game, seven-hit shutout as Biddeford beat Gorham 5-0 in an SMAA baseball game on Thursday at St. Louis Field.

Nate Huot led the Tigers (10-2) with three hits, and had a two-RBI single during the four-run fourth inning. Kerry Crepeau also had two hits for the Tigers, while Cameron Smith had two hits for the Rams (4-7)

Thornton Academy 7, Bonny Eagle 2

STANDISH — Drew Gelinas had a triple and a double with three RBI and scored twice to lift Thornton Academy over Bonny Eagle in an SMAA baseball game on Thursday.

Ben Lambert pitched a complete game for the Golden Trojans (6-5), allowing three hits and striking out six Scots (2-9).

Fryeburg Academy 7, Kennebunk 5

FRYEBURG — Fryeburg Academy scored twice in the sixth inning to get past Kennebunk in a Western Maine Conference softball game on Thursday.

The Rams (5-7) had taken a 5-4 lead thanks to a four-run fifth inning that was keyed by Meg Dube’s three-run homer.

But the Raiders (7-6) got a run back in the fifth and then took the lead on RBI singles by Makayla Cooper and Kylie Locke in the sixth.

Kennebunk 20, Fryeburg Academy 2

FRYEBURG — Kennebunk raced out to a 15-1 halftime lead on the way to an 18-goal win over Fryeburg Academy in a Western Maine Conference girls lacrosse game on Thursday.

Jenny Bush led the Rams (8-1) with four goals, while Olivia Sandford, Allie Truman and Kyra Scwartzman all scored three times and added two assists each. Kristen Koch and Grace Robinson also scored their first vasity goals for Kennebunk.

Bella Kudas stopped four Raiders (1-8) shots.
