PORTLAND (AP) — A suspect has pleaded guilty to murder in a fatal shooting at a Portland recording studio in 2015.
Gang Deng Majok was sentenced on Friday to 30 years in prison, after changing his plea.
The charges stem from the shooting death of 19-year-old Treyjon Arsenault in May 2015.
Police say Arsenault, a Westbrook High School graduate, and another man were shot at Da Block Studios.
A second suspect, Johnny Ouch of Westbrook, Maine, had pleaded guilty to elevated aggravated assault.
Arsenault was not involved in the conflict that led to the shooting and did not know the people involved.
Majok, a Sudanese national, will be subject to deportation after completing his sentence.
