VDay York County’s 2014 production of “The Vagina Monologues,” will show Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27 at 6 p.m. at the Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church, 5 Lebonon St., Sanford. “Oliver! The Musical” will be performed by Our Theatre Company at Nasson Little Theatre from through May 10. “Cinderella: The World’s Favorite Fairy Tale” will be performed at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, 142 Free St., Portland, through April 27 with various showtimes at 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and during April vacation week on Thursday, April 24, at 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is a special re-telling with the well-known Cinderella introducing the audience to characters with similar stories from other cultures. The Ogunquit Museum of American Art has released its 2014 exhibition schedule. John Laurent’s work will be on display from May 1 to June 22 in the Sculpture and Long Gallery. “Henry Strater: Arizona Winters, 1933-1938” will be on exhibit from May 1 through Oct. 31 in the Strater Gallery. “Tradition and Excellence: The OMAA Permanent Collection” will be on exhibit May 1-Oct. 31. Award-winning teacher/artist Ray Lund will be featured in an exhibit, entitled “40,” at Biddeford City Hall from April 25 to May 24. The exhibit will showcase artworks and other objects that have come from Lund’s work for 40 years as a teacher/artist. The opening will be Friday, April 25 from 5-8 p.m. during the Biddeford+Saco ArtWalk.
The 2014 President’s Student Art Show, hosted on the seventh floor of the Law Building on University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus, will be on view through Wednesday, May 7, featuring the artwork of several local artists, and advanced photography students Jodie Locke of Biddeford, Ellen Snow of Eliot, Carrie Parent of Lyman, Bronwyn Townsend of Portland, Jacob Dube of Saco and Dalton Link of York. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public.

The Biddeford School Department announces upcoming student performances: The Biddeford Middle School production of “Shrek the Musical” will be Tuesday, April 29 at 6:30 p.m. at the performing arts center. The Taylor O’Donnell Group will perform an evening of “standards,” old and new, at the First Parish Federated Church Concert Series, Saturday, April 26 at 7 p.m. at the church, 150 Main St., South Berwick. City Theater in Biddeford is casting for “The Full Monty” musical, seeking six men, four women, one boy and 10 or more male and female ensemble roles.
