DOVER, N.H. — Michael Charles Hatch passed peacefully after a prolonged illness on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover with his family by his side.
He was born in Westerly, R.I. on March 22, 1955, the son of Delbert H. Hatch Jr. and Damaris E. Hatch.
Michael was a student at Great Bay School and Training Center and an original client and resident of Waban Projects.
He retired from Kentucky Fried Chicken in Sanford, Maine in 2011.
Michael was actively involved in the Special Olympics for many years.
He was preceeded in death by: his father; and his brother, James Hatch.
He is survived by: his partner, Rose Bilodeau; his mother, Damaris Hatch; brothers, Alan and his wife Sherrilyn, David and his wife Sheila, Scott and his wife Barbara; sister, Linda Moore and her husband Greg; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at the Wormwood Center, Waban Projects in Sanford, Maine on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waban Projects, Special Olympics or to Christen Foundation of the Hyder Family Hospice House, Dover, N.H.
