SANFORD — Free workshops on ice skating, ice fishing and snowshoeing are set for selected dates this winter at Waban’s TREE Center, off Route 4.
Folks can take in workshops on ice fishing and ice skating Feb. 15, March 2 and March 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Workshops on “Exploring Nature on Snowshoe” will take place Feb. 1, March 16 and March 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Waban’s TREE Center invites all ages to join them for some exciting winter fun. Try snowshoeing, ice fishing or ice skating. Bring your own equipment or try theirs ”“ for $2 ”“ though sizes are limited.
The TREE Center is located at 5 Dunaway Drive, which is off Route 4 in Sanford, four miles from the Routes 4 and 109 traffic circle heading south. Turn at Dunaway Drive and drive past the Waban buildings. Follow Dunaway Drive to the parking lot at the end.
