YARMOUTH — In his new children’s book, “An Unexpected Gathering,” author Andrew Pasakarnis shares a story that teaches the value of teamwork and humility to readers, children and adults alike.

Pasakarnis introduces a cast of animal characters who gather together and realize that no problem is too difficult to solve when individuals put aside their differences and work as a team.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Pasakarnis attended Central Michigan University and Bangor Theological Seminary, and has worked in the field of human services for more than 40 years. His inspiration for “An Unexpected Gathering” was drawn from his service to others, along with his personal observations of a variety of wildlife that inhabit the pond behind his home, where two beavers often worked together to repair their dwelling and the dam that benefits all the animals in the area.
