LEBANON — A 49-year-old Kennebunk man was arrested and charged with drug possession and criminal operating under the influence after state police found him asleep at a traffic signal on Route 202 Wednesday.

Trooper John Darcy was called to the area of Hometown Mobil in Lebanon about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an intoxicated driver asleep at the traffic light near the store, according to a state police statement.

Police said Kevin Masteller performed poorly on field sobriety tests. During the arrest process, the trooper allegedly found three grams of heroin in his pocket.

He was arrested and taken to York County Jail.
