PORTLAND — The Maine Red Claws announced on Wednesday that the team has acquired Sherwood Brown from the available player pool. Brown will join the team in Santa Cruz prior to their game with the Warriors.
The former Florida Gulf Coast University guard appeared in 119 games over four years with averages of 10.4 points and 4.9 rebounds for the Eagles. In his senior year, Brown averaged 15.5 points and 6.5 rebounds, earning All-Atlantic Sun First Team and Conference Player of the Year honors, while leading his team to an appearance in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
Brown will wear number 17.
