SANFORD — Barbara G. Robinson, 77, was born Nov. 22, 1940 in Oakland, California.
She was a longtime resident of Shapleigh. After retirement, she and her husband spent winters in R0ckport, Texas and summers at their cottage in Madawaska, Maine.
She was an avid fitness enthusiast who loved workouts at the Sanford YMCA, swimming, biking and cross country skiing.
Her generous spirit touched many people.
She is survived by her husband Karl, her daughter Jan Sevick-Carlson of Iowa, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at the American legion Post #19 on Maine Street in Sanford on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m.
She will be interred at Highland Grove Cemetery in North Shapleigh.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the local animal shelter would be preferred.
