BIDDEFORD — Richard R. Murphy, 64, of Quimby St passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at his residence.
He was born in Portland on Dec. 31, 1953 the son of Robert F. Murphy Sr and Theresa I. Blais.
Richard grew up in Black Point Road in Scarborough and attended local schools.
He was recently employed as a greeter at Walmart in Biddeford and had attended the Bible Baptist Church in Saco.
He enjoyed collecting VHS tapes, vinyl records, drinking champagne, eating Market Basket chicken wings and having a love of dogs.
He is predeceased by his parents and a brother Robert F. Murphy, Jr.
Survivors include his sisters Marie A. Murphy of Florida, Diane J. Snow of Limerick, Jo-Ann C. Murphy of Saco, nieces Ashley Rondeau and Christine Snow and her husband Danny Lassiter and their 2 sons Liam and Eli Lassiter. He also leaves behind his girlfriend Shirley Brooks.
Friends and relatives may attend a funeral service at the Bible Baptist Church 146 Ferry Road, Saco Sunday September 16, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
Private family burial services will be held at the family farm in Limerick.
Dennett, Craig & Pate, 365 Main St, Saco are entrusted with his arrangements.
