KENNEBUNK — The Kennebunk golf team cruised to a 9.5-3.5 win over visiting Massabesic Thursday afternoon.
The Rams were led by Chris Grady, who shot a team-low 48. Owen Manahan was right behind him at 49, while Gabe Wilson shot a 51.
Massabesic’s Caleb Roy shot a match-low 43 on the day.
The Rams improve to 8-0 on the year while Massabesic drops to 2-6.
Marshwood 9, Sanford 4
Despite falling to Marshwood Thursday, a handful of Spartans had impressive outings, including Jordan D’Alessandro with a 44.
Thornton Academy 13, Wind ham 0
TA’s Jordan Laplume and Armand Oullette shot a match-low 36 on the afternoon, while Jacob Laplume and Eric Boucher shot 41. Matt Merrill was close behind at 43, while Nate Rutherford shot a 47.
Noble 8, Biddeford 5
Noble edged out a close win against the Tigers Thursday.
Noble’s Geoff Howe shot a match-low 43, while Ricky Ruck led the Tigers with a 44. Biddeford falls to 5-3 on the year.
Volleyball
Wells 3, Gardiner 1
Gardiner would win the first set 25- 14, but Wells battled back and won the ensuing three sets 25-18, 25-15 and 25-15.
Kait Schott had a big night for Wells, collecting 25 assists, four aces and two digs. Alyssa Loukola also added nine kills, three blocks and two digs while Halee Ramsdell racked up 12 kills, four aces and two digs.
Girl’s Soccer
Old Orchard Beach 4, St. Dom ’s 4
The Seagulls cruised to a big 4-0 shutout Thursday afternoon.
Maegan Halle led OOB with two goals and two assists in the first half while Payje Leclerc scored to give OOB the 3-0 lead at half.
Brianna Plante would score in the second half while Sammy Donnell and Joyce Doucette collected assists. Tiffany LeClair had three saves in net for the Seagulls.
