NEWFIELD — York County Sheriff ’s Office deputies are asking residents to call them if they’ve experienced vandalism to their property in recent days.
In a social media posting Tuesday evening, the sheriff ’s office said it has received two reports of vandalism from homeowners, including electrical wires pulled from the exterior of homes, trampled gardens and overturned plant pots. Deputies in the social media posting said the vandalism – which can result in a criminal mischief charge – took place around Holiday and Garfield roads and was reported Sept. 6. The vandalism appears to be the work of juveniles, they said.
Deputies are asking that those who have experienced similar criminal mischief, or observed something suspicious, to call Deputy Dwayne Fay at 324-1113.
