OLD ORCHARD BEACH — Paul J. “Popeye” Remillard, 67, of Old Orchard Beach, passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford.
He was born in Saco on Aug. 11, 1950, a son of Arthur and Marie Ange (Simoneau) Remillard.
At the age of 14, Paul worked for Smart’s Garage. He was later employed by Robert Kirby Enterprises for over 35 years as a mechanic for Ace’s Auto and for Kirby’s Auto Salvage in Arundel and Old Orchard Beach.
Paul enjoyed fishing and NASCAR. He also had a passion for cars, especially Mercedes automobiles. With Paul’s passing we remind ourselves that his life is to be celebrated. He will forever remain in our hearts.
He is survived by his former wife Debra “Giaimo” Letendre, his daughter Julie Letendre , his sister Pauline Morin and her husband Lee, his two grandchildren, his brother-in-law John Gagne Sr. and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. with a Service at 6 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will be private in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
