SACO — Caroline E. Pierce, 83, of Biddeford, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 in Saco.
Please do not send me flowers I can no longer see instead, give to something worthy for the living.
Raise your children with love and understanding hug them and tell them you love them – often. They are the future and carry future generations.
Forgive each slight and cause of pain, which we are all guilty of giving and receiving.
For those who love me and for friends who care, try not to shed any tears. I’ve closed my eyes in sleep- my pain is gone and I am at peace; simply remember me as when I was living.
God will be my final judge and should God find me worthy, I’ll see you all again.
(I leave a final thought by Norman Cousins)
“The tragedy in life is not death-but what dies within us while we still live”
Caroline is survived by daughter Shirley Winship; son Joseph Marquis; son Robert Toussaint; and family.
In following Caroline’s wishes all services are private and at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
