SACO — York County Senior College is inviting members and their guests to its annual membership meeting Wednesday, June 6, at the Ramada Inn in Saco.

The meeting starts off at 11 a.m. with a display of the artwork of many YCSC students, with registration and a social hour from 11:30 to noon.  This is followed by a luncheon of chicken breast, rice pilaf and chef’s vegetables and a business meeting, where attendees will hear annual reports by Senior College committees.

During the business meeting, Council elections will be held.  The afternoon is rounded out by two speakers, Kathleen Porter and Susan Winch, who will discuss how York County Senior College is embracing technology.

For reservations, RSVP to 282-4030 by May 31.  There is no charge for current YCSC members.  Non-member guests are welcome to attend for $25, payable at the door by cash or check.

York County Senior College, providing low cost educational and social opportunities for adults, is affiliated with the University of Maine System. Classes in the spring and fall semesters are given in Saco and Springvale, starting in March and September. Winter lectures are open to the public; membership in Senior College is not required.

The mission of York County Senior College is to provide a curriculum of intellectually stimulating learning opportunities and special activities for persons 50 years of age or older.  Begun in 1999, Senior College is governed by a volunteer committee who oversees its general operations.  York County Senior College is a program of the University of Maine System University College.
