SPRINGVALE — Barbara Genthner, 85 passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, on Tuesday April 17, 2018, at The Lodges Care Center, in Springvale, Maine.
She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Call) Westgate.
Barbara always had a beautiful smile on her face. She loved going for long rides to the beach, caring for her plants, watching birds, and listening to country music.
She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by one brother, Donald Westgate, her children, Shelia Marshall, Eugene Dunlap, Deborah Fogg, Peggy Dunlap, Joyce Berry, Sandra Alexandre, Fred Smith, Michael Smith, Pamela Quimby, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday May 19, at 11 a.m. at Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main St., Springvale, Maine. Immediately following the service, there will be a graveside service at the Pine Grove Cemetery, 93 West Road, in Waterboro, Maine.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
