There was incorrect information in an article about a York County Community College groundbreaking for a new facility, which appeared on May 26 on pages A1 and A3. The correct information includes: the existing YCCC building was built for 1,100 students; project partners for the new building are Hannaford Charitable Foundation, Wasco Products, SIS Bank and Pratt & Whitney. YCCC Foundation Trustees were among the attendees; Scott Knapp is the Central Maine Community College president; a live feed of construction of the new building is tentative; and the projected cost of the building is $8.4 million.
Also, Community College System President Derek Langhauser’s name was misspelled in the second reference.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
