Old Orchard Beach Seagulls
Coach: Tom LaChance (13th year)
Last year’s record: 8-8 (Lost Class D South prelim to Sacopee Valley)
Key returners: Matt Hurley, Kyle Allen, Cody Blanchette, Peyton Blanchette, Ryun Hogan, Sean Pratt
Key newcomers: Chandler Payea, Andrew Houle, Mark Johnston, Bradley Houle, Matt Doody, Craig Evans, Cameron Rice, Rudy Mago, James McCullum, Ryan Schildroth
Key losses: Thomas Fregeau, Evan O’Donnell, Joe McCullum
Coach’s outlook: All of our Pitching returns so it should keep us very competitive. Goals are to be a better hitting team and win the 1-run ball games. Last year we put ourselves in position to win but lost five 1-run ball games. Traip and St. Doms should be better, and Hall-Dale and Winthrop should be good. Maranacook and Lisbon should be respectful with having large enrollments for our division. Key will be finding the way to win the 1-run ball games and playing together not as individuals.
Sanford Spartans
Coach: Mark Boissonneault (20th year)
Last year’s record: 6-10 (First round win vs TA; lost to Gorham in 2nd round)
Key newcomers: Sol Demers, Chase Kerrigan, Wyatt L’Heureux
Key returners: Nick Liston, Nate Martineau, Ryan Connarton, Marcus Gould
Key losses: Frankie Veino, Brad Bouchard
Coach’s outlook: Pitching is the key and we have to make up those innings with new faces. Veino and Bouchard made up most of innings last year. Returning to the mound this year are Martineau and Josiah Scott. Newcomers Chase Kerrigan and Miles Hilton make up the pitching staff. Returning are Gould, Liston, Martineau and Connarton to the lineup along with Demers and L’Heureux that hope to score enough runs to compensate for the young pitching staff.
Thornton Academy Golden Trojans
Coach: Jason Lariviere (1st year)
Last year’s record: 12-6 (Lost in Class A South first round)
Key newcomers: Kolby Lambert, Cameron Seymour, Ryan Penney
Key returners: Luke Chessie, Brogan Searle-Belange, Timmy Smith, Jacob Laplume, Brady Lambert
Key losses: Brandon Hall, Evan Balzano
Coach’s outlook: Our strength should be pitching depth and defense. So long as we can have command of our pitches, pitch to contact and make the plays we are supposed to, we should be strong. Offensively, we have a lot of speed so getting our players on base and being aggressive with our running game will be key. We have a good mix of seniors and underclassmen so as long as we play as a team, we should be in for a successful 2018.

Key newcomers: Covy Dufort, Trevor Villemaire, Nate Chandler
Key returners: Cameren Cousins, Liam Bell, Michael Wrigley, Tyler Bridge, Gary Andrews, Tyler Carpenter, Matt Tufts

Coach’s outlook: We have experience, returning pitching, strong defense and an emerging offensive attack that should prove to have this team contend with the typical powers in Class B.
