We support Diane Denk as our representative to the Maine state House seat from District 9, and encourage others to vote for her.

Diane has over 45 years of political and business experience. She has chaired the Kennebunk and Kennebunkport Democratic Committee and the York County Democratic Committee, and has served for the past eight years on the Maine State Democratic Committee, as well as the chair of its Outreach and Diversity Committee.

She recently has been elected as the Democratic National Committee woman representing Maine as a presidential elector, one of four, and as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Loyola University of Chicago, and became a vice president of a large brokerage firm. After 25 years in business, she earned a second master’s degree in teaching and became a special education teacher, a job she currently holds in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.

Diane is a strong advocate who aids struggling families, works to improve the quality of education for our children and to attract and retain small businesses that provide good jobs. She also works to help seniors remain in their homes. She and her husband Roger Hansen have three sons, four grandchildren and two puppies, and live in Kennebunk.
