
She was born in Biddeford on Aug. 30, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Marie Anne Roy Jolette. She was educated in Biddeford schools, and graduated from Biddeford High School with the Class of 1941. On Sept. 14, 1963, she married Gerard R. Vachon in St. Joseph Church in Biddeford. He died on June 10, 2002.
Mrs. Vachon was a homemaker.
She enjoyed doing oil and water paintings, working in her vegetable and flower gardens, playing cards and doing puzzles. She was a former member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by: two nieces, Laurette Staples of Biddeford and Priscilla Cassette and her husband Wilfrid of Biddeford; and one nephew, Richard Mailhiot and his wife Jeanne of Saco.
A funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday, May 25, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford. Arrangements are by Hope Memorial Chapel. To share condolences online, visit HopeMemorial.com.
