STANDISH — Three former Bonny Eagle High School students were arrested Tuesday on charges that they broke into the school and vandalized it on Monday.

Bonny Eagle, 700 Saco Road, Standish, serves students in MSAD 6 from Buxton, Hollis, Standish, Limington and Frye Island.

Cumberland County Sheriff deputies responded to an alarm at the school around 11:20 p.m. Monday, according to a press release from the Cumberland County Sheriff ’s Department. Police found evidence of forced entry and vandalism.

On Tuesday, deputies arrested Ronny Head, 18, of Buxton; and Cullen Dumbrocyo, 19, and Jonathan Betancourt, 18, both of Standish. Each was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.

No bail was allowed for Dumbrocyo and Head; Betancourt was assigned $500 bail. They will appear in Cumberland County Superior Court in June, according to police.

The three teens allegedly entered the building through a roof hatch, according to a press release from MSAD 6. The contents of the a refrigerator in the teacher’s lounge was dumped out and smashed on the floor, and a beverage vending machine in the cafeteria was broken, the contents of which were dumped out and smashed in the hallways of the school and the cafeteria.

Vandals also used fire extinguishers in the building, according to school officials.

Nothing appears to have been stolen, according to school officials. “This was simply an act of vandalism for the sake of vandalism,” said school officials in the release.

The high school was closed Tuesday so officials could clean the building and make sure it was secure. It was expected to reopen today.
