I wanted to comment on the political cartoon that was published on Thursday, 10/10/19. The cartoon shows a picture of President Trump answering the Kurds’ question of America’s betrayal by telling them they should talk to his ex-wives. The cartoon is whimsical and inappropriate. The lives of divorced spouses of President Trump cannot compare to the murder and displacement of a people who served as allies on behalf of USA against Isis. Trump’s unilateral and precipitous decision resulted in murder and betrayal and cannot be compared to his divorced wives; who continue to live in lives of luxury. One decision amounts to gossip, the other murder and displacement. I fail to see the similarities and humor.
