
He was born March 25, 1944, in Biddeford, a son of Edward F. and Madeleine T. (Lachance) Mulderig. He was educated at St. Joseph’s grammar school and Old Orchard Beach High School.
Stephen served in the U.S. Army Reserve. For most of his working life, he was a manager in the IGA and Hannaford supermarkets.
He is survived by: two sons, Craig S. Mulderig and his wife Elizabeth of Fort Myers, Florida, and Jason M. Mulderig and his wife Lise of New York; one brother, Michael Mulderig of Saco; four sisters, Ruth Ann Douglas and her husband Stephen of Sebago, Therese Turgeon and her husband Rene of Arundel, Michelle Knaus and her husband Christopher of Scarborough, and Madeleine Mulderig of Dover, New Hampshire; and five grandchildren, Jonathan Mulderig of West Palm Beach, Florida, Jacob Mulderig of Pensacola, Florida, Ryan Mulderig of Fort Myers, Florida, and Emery and Aveline Mulderig of New York.
Visiting hours will be 4- 7 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Biddeford.
