BIDDEFORD — Every year, each Maine high school selects a member of its graduating class to be honored as the winner of the 2018 Maine Principals’ Association Principal’s Award. The senior who most exhibits the criteria of excellence in academic achievement and citizenship is singled out. This year at Biddeford High School, senior Aaron Dutremble has been chosen for the recognition.

“Aaron is one of the finest young men walking the halls of Biddeford High School,” Principal of Biddeford High School Jeremie Sirois said. “He is a kind, young man who treats students and adults with respect on a daily basis. Losing a student like Aaron to graduation will be a tremendous loss for our school. He is a young man of many talents and a leader in the school.”

Dutremble does well academically, he has a 3.39 grade point average. He currently attends the Biddeford Regional Center of Technology as part of the Early Child Education program. He is a three-sport athlete playing soccer, indoor track and outdoor track.

Dutremble plans to attend Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts in the fall where he will study secondary education.

Along with the recipients from every Maine high school, Dutremble will be honored at a Maine Principals’ Association sponsored luncheon on April 7 at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor. At the luncheon, he will find out if will be awarded one of several $1,000 scholarships.
