GORHAM — Drew Grennon scored twice, both set up by Matt Ross and Nick Breed, and Cape Elizabeth got three goals just over a minute apart in the first period to take control in a 4-1 boys’ hockey victory over Gorham on Monday.
Breed and Vinny Dell’Aquilla also scored for Cape Elizabeth (5-3), and Jake Rosenfield made 22 saves for the win.
Spence Cowand scored from Chris Hardy and Eliot Gagne, and Nate Holloran made 26 saves for Gorham (2-5).
KENNEBUNK 1, FALMOUTH 0: Tyler Fowles scored off a Kurt Oakman pass early in the second period to lift the Rams (3-4) over the Yachtsmen (1-2-2) at Biddeford Ice Arena.
Jordon Kadlik earned the shutout with 42 saves. Jay Hurdman had 31 saves for Falmouth.
MHW 6, LAKE REGION/FRYEBURG 1: Six players scored as the Hawks (6-3) earned a win over the Ice Cats (2-6) at Bridgton.
Tyler Bryant, Robbie Clark, Nick Lacasse, Matt Plourde, Jared Hanson and Cameron MacMillian each had a goal for the Hawks, and Jon Dale made 42 saves.
Tyler Hampden scored for the Ice Cats.
BOYS’ BASKETBALL
EDWARD LITTLE 64, BRUNSWICK 63: Bo Leary scored 32 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, as the Red Eddies (7-1) edged the Dragons (4-4) At Brunswick.
Timothy Mains added 14 points for Edward Little, which led 27-18 at the half.
Brunswick rallied to tie it at 41 after three quarters, led by Mitchell Black, who scored 19 of his 24 points in the second half.
Garrett Erb added 13 points for the Dragons.
NYA 31, GOULD ACADEMY 29: Matt Kibbler scored a season-high 10 points for the Panthers (3-4), who took a 17-10 halftime lead and held off the Huskies (2-3) at Yarmouth.
Shaquille Jones scored 12 points for Gould.
HYDE 45, HEBRON ACADEMY 29: Ben Burloch scored 17 points and Jack Yu added 11 for the Phoenix (2-3) in a win over the Lumberjacks at Hebron.
Kenny Poon led Hebron with 15 points.
RICHMOND 45, PINE TREE ACADEMY 32: Kyle O’Brien scored 15 points for the Bobcats (5-1) in a win over the Breakers (0-8) at Freeport.
Tim McGuire had 16 points for Pine Tree.
GIRLS’ BASKETBALL
GEORGES VALLEY 58, LISBON 34: Kennadi Grover had 15 points, six rebounds and five assists for the Buccaneers (5-4) in a win over the Greyhounds (3-6) at Lisbon Falls.
Jill Bradbury contributed 13 points. Alexa Harmon scored 13 points for Lisbon.
RICHMOND 52, PINE TREE ACADEMY 9: Alyssa Pearson scored 15 points to lead the Bobcats (7-0) past the Breakers (1-6) at Freeport.
GIRLS’ HOCKEY
SCARBOROUGH 7, BIDDEFORD 0: Abby Rutt had five goals and an assist to lead the Red Storm (8-1-1) past the Tigers (3-8) at Biddeford Ice Arena.
Kaitlyn Reynolds added two goals and Sarah Martens had two assists.
BRUNSWICK 6, PORTLAND 3: Rachel Moroney notched a hat trick for the Dragons (5-6-1) in a win over the Bulldogs (4-4-1) at Watson Arena.
Jen Machin and Annie Kelly each added a goal and two assists, and Erin Gay earned the win with 25 saves.
