ARUNDEL — The driver of a tri-axle dump truck said the sun’s glare obstructed his view when he crashed into the rear of a vehicle stopped to deliver mail on Limerick Road on Wednesday afternoon. York County Sheriff Bill King said deputies were called to the area of 644 Limerick Road at about 1:15 p.m. He said the preliminary investigation showed that Joann Huff, 49, of Biddeford was stopped to make a delivery when her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2017 Peterbuilt tri-axle dump truck owned by RJ Grondin and Sons. The truck, which was not loaded, was operated by Emilien Beaulieu, 71, of Dayton. King said Beaulieu told deputies that the sun’s glare obstructed his view and he did not see Huff’s vehicle.  Beaulieu was not injured in the crash;  Huff was transported to Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford with a leg injury.
