ROCKLAND — Artwork by Maine service members will be on view in a Rockland gallery.

Photographs, paintings, drawings and poems will be on display to the public Monday in the Jean B. Chalmers Art Gallery.

The artwork shows a perspective of war possible only from the point of view of someone who’s experienced it firsthand. Service member artists who choose to attend will have an opportunity to share their story behind the art with the community.

The exhibition will be on view through Feb. 4.
