Anne was born on May 2, 1953, in Biddeford, and was the daughter of the late A. Raymond Gannon and Helena Gannon, also of Saco.
Anne graduated from Thornton Academy, Class of 1971 and Husson College. Upon graduation, Anne worked in the banking industry for Casco, Bank of Boston, and Fleet Bank. Since 2001, Anne worked with Dr. (Doc) Kip Temm at York County Veterinary in Arundel until 2017.
Anne enjoyed genealogy and studied her family back to the 1860s. Anne has been showing Samoyeds for over 30 years, including seven AKC Champions. She belonged to the Minuteman Samoyed Club and York County Kennel Club. Anne loved and adored her own Samoyeds, while also spreading the joy of owning a Samoyed to others. She was actively involved in rescuing Samoyeds and responsible for finding loving homes for many dogs over the years.
Anne valued her friendships and shared wonderful memories with everyone she met through these organizations and enjoyed welcoming them into her home. Anne was a loyal and generous friend to anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. In addition to her extensive circle of friends, Anne loved her family. Each year she looked forward to the visits in the summer with her extended family. Anne was a dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin, niece, and friend who greeted each day with a twinkle in her blue eyes and a smile on her face. Her contagious enthusiasm and eternal optimism will be greatly missed.
