Westport Island – Richard D. Drummey, 89, died Monday, June 17, 2019 at Maine Veterans Home in Augusta.
Richard was born August 18, 1929 in Braintree, Massachusetts, the son of Christopher Anthony and Florence (Bennett) Drummey.
He joined the US Air Force during WWII, serving his country for 20 years. After his discharge from the service he began a career in logistics at several shipyards including Boston, Charleston, SC, and BIW.
In 1978 he married Irish “Mickey” Landreth and they resided in Charleston until 1993 when they moved to Maine.
Richard is survived by his wife of Westport Island.
