BIDDEFORD — Rene B. Vallee, 72, of Biddeford died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017 at the VA Health Center, Togus. 

He was born Sept. 11, 1945 in Biddeford a son of Anatol and Rita (Chabot) Vallee and was educated locally, graduating from Biddeford High School in the Class of 1964. 

Rene served in the U.S. Army in Viet Nam.  He worked 20 years at Noyes Tire in Biddeford and another 20 years when it became Biddeford Tire, retiring as Service Manager in 2005.

He had been a member of the Amvets and the American Legion.  An outdoorsman, he enjoyed wood chopping camping and fishing; Rene also liked playing horseshoes, barbecuing and going to casinos. 

He is survived by his wife Patricia Cyr Duranceau Vallee to whom he had been married since 1991; three sons Larry Vallee of Biddeford, Scott Vallee and his wife Amanda of Milford, New Hampshire and Daniel Vallee of Biddeford; stepdaughter, Doreen Dube and her husband Marc of Biddeford; two stepsons Nelson Duranceau and his wife Jennifer of Quechee, Vermont and Darren Duranceau and his wife Michelle of Dover, New Hampshire; his former wife, Kathleen Vallee of Morganton, North Carolina; two brothers Henri Vallee and his wife Constance of Arundel and Roger Vallee of Arundel; two sisters Peggy Petit and her husband Norman of Arundel and Theresa Larochelle and her husband Willie of Lyman; 15 grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018 at Hope Memorial Chapel 480 Elm St., , Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph  Church in Biddeford. Burial will at noon in the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Road in Springvale.
