
He was born April 8, 1953, in Kittery. Mark attended Deering High School in Portland, where he was successful in track, often winning first place in high hurdles. He graduated with his diploma in 1971 and went on to study geology at New Mexico Tech.
Mark was an avid enthusiast and practitioner of geology, computer programming, music, art, theology and mythology. A good caring man with a remarkable sense of humor, he was loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by: his mother, Betty Wilhelmi; a sister, Claudine Grange; and two nieces, Robin and Anya, who all miss him very, very much.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, in Cedar Brook Burial Ground in Limington.
