A girl reaches out to a miniature pony in May at the Parsons Memorial Library in Alfred. Horse trainer Ali Brock offered to bring the pony and a donkey along to the library to entertain a group of children during the library’s weekly storytime. Children got a chance to pet the animals, as well as ride them and feed them carrots and sugar cubes. (JEFF LAGASSE/Journal Tribune)
