Lawmakers announce bids for re-election

YORK COUNTY — Two state legislators announced Thursday that they will be running for re-election in the fall.
Sen. Ron Collins of Wells, a Republican who represents District 34, and Rep. Ryan Fecteau, a Democrat who represents part of Biddeford, announced they would be running again.
District 32 is comprised of Acton, Kennebunk, Lebanon, North Berwick, Wells and part of Berwick.
Collins is serving his third term in the Senate. He was first elected in 2010, and served in the state House of Representatives from 1998 to 2010.
Fecteau is serving his first term in the House after being elected in November 2014.
Chief Justice Saufley appointed to a 3rd term
AUGUSTA (AP) — Chief Justice Leigh Saufley has been appointed to a third term as Maine Supreme Judicial Court chief justice and leader of the judicial branch.
Saufley has received the nod from three governors, independent Angus King, Democrat John Baldacci and now Republican Paul LePage.
