From the Journal Tribune: “Clerks in 12 convenience stores were caught selling alcohol to a minor in recent police sting operations. On Jan. 13, two officers completed a simple detail in plain-clothes, attempting to purchase alcohol without presenting valid identification. Police Chief Roger Beaupre said he came up with the idea of a liquor enforcement sting the week before the detail because he was concerned “that it’s easy to purchase beer and alcohol.”

From the Biddeford-Saco Journal: “Adult education classes may soon be offered at Burns School in Saco in the near future if plans for the project receive federal support, Superintendent of Schools Bernard C. Forbush said today. The School Committee approved the project as a set up by the superintendent at a special meeting last night.”
