
She was born in Sanford on Jan. 11, 1943, to the late Osias Joseph and Diana (Dupuis) Marcoux, where she was raised and attended local schools.
In 1964, she married Roger Devoid, and they raised three children.
Ursula had many interests, including music and her Catholic faith. Volunteering full-time at the Franciscan Monastery gift shop in Kennebunk was a very important part of her life, and she continued that for about 20 years.
Being very family-oriented, she loved her children – especially her grandchildren, who she jokingly mentioned “were more important.” She was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by: her husband and daughter, Angela.
Survivors include: two sons, Marc Devoid and his wife Therese of Wisconsin, and Donald and his wife Samantha of Mansfield, Massachusetts; and grandchildren Nicholas, Celine, Alex, Claire, Dominic and Thomas.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 25, at St. Therese Lisieux Parish Holy Family Church on North Avenue in Sanford. A burial will be held at St. Ignatius Cemetery in Sanford in the spring.
