Buffalo Wild Wings coming

Buffalo Wild Wings, an award-winning chicken wing franchise business, has announced plans to open a new location at 85 Western Ave. in South Portland on March 7. The new eatery will feature big screen, wall-to-wall high definition televisions for event and sports viewing. Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Minnesota, the franchise is known for its 14 signature wing sauces and pub-style food. It boasts more than 737 restaurants in 44 states.

Program to help employers

Coastal Counties Workforce Inc. of Sanford and the Sanford/Springvale Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development will partner on the Business Employment Assistance Representatives project, a program designed to develop effective working relationships with the region’s employers in order to identify hiring needs, as well as potential internships and work experiences, on-the-job training and unsubsidized employment opportunities. Pelvic floor rehab opens

Holistic Physical Therapy Services Inc. has opened a new division, the Pelvic Floor Rehab Center of New England at 100 Brickhill Ave., Suite 301, in South Portland. Vet holds open house

The Pownal Veterinary Hospital at 191 Hallowell Road in Pownal celebrated its grand opening with an open house recently.

The clinic offers services that include physical exams for dogs, cats and small mammals, vaccinations, lab services, surgeries, X-rays, acupuncture, medications and humane euthanasia.

The clinic is run by Dr. Karen Richter-Hall, a graduate of Deering High School in Portland, Simmons College in Boston and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. Richter-Hall began a house-call practice in 2008 and she is a certified veterinary acupuncturist.
