Police: Man dies when large branch falls on him
JEFFERSON (AP) — Authorities say an Orono man died when he was hit by a large branch while trying to remove a tree from a property.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Jefferson. The Lincoln County Sheriff ’s Office says it appears that 22-year-old Eliot Lamb died instantly when the branch fell on him.
The Orono man was working for Second Nature Tree Service when the incident occurred.

Bishop Robert Deeley of the Diocese of Portland is visiting the Maine Correctional Center in Windham to celebrate Mass with inmates.
