
The daughter of Emile and Simone (Fecteau) Couture, she was born in Biddeford.
As a young woman she worked at a local shoe factory in Biddeford, and during this time she caught the eye of her future husband, Raymond Guay, at a dance at the Le Voltigeur Club. They later married on January 25, 1969. They settled in Biddeford to raise their family. Lorraine enjoyed watching her soaps and the property brothers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her cats and her grandcats.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Richard.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond, of nearly 47 years; her daughter Linda Nolette and her husband Peter of Waterboro; her son Roger and his fiancee Tara of Portland; her daughter Patricia of Hollis; and her three grandchildren, Christopher, Katie, and Jacob.
Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, Dec. 18 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 178 Elm St., Biddeford. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
