Brunswick – Hilda Rose Card, age 84 of Brunswick, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Mid Coast Hospital with her family at her side.
Hilda was born in Brunswick on October 30, 1934, a daughter of Eudore and Mildred (Goodnow) Brillant.
She attended Brunswick schools.
Hilda was a member of the Topsham American Legion Post #202 Auxiliary and a member of the Elks Club in Brunswick. She enjoyed doing crafts and attending craft fairs, and going to yard sales.
She worked for many years at Auerbach Shoe, Mill Outlet Shoe, and also many years at L.L. Bean.
She is predeceased by her husband, Lewis Card; brothers, Timmy, Tommy, Buddy and Sammy Brillant; a sister, Linda Walton; and a grandson, Paul Labbe, Jr.
Hilda leaves behind three sons, Jerome Card of Hudson, FL, Lewis Card , Jr. of Topsham, and Danny Card of Topsham; two daughters, Patty Jones and Holly Labbe, both of Topsham; a brother, Dennis Brillant of Bowdoinham; three sisters, Nancy Alexander of Bath, Beverly Eastman of Topsham, and Jerri Depster of N.H.; 9 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held in the Spring at Maquoit Cemetery in Brunswick. Arrangements are in the care of Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. Condolences can be expressed at www.brackettfuneralhome.com
