From the Journal Tribune: “As families and friends around York County gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, State Police expect traffic to be heavy in many locations around Maine during the four-day Thanksgiving weekend. State Police have planned additional enforcement efforts to prevent highway accidents this year.”

Offices in Biddeford and Saco’s city halls and town offices at Old Orchard Beach will be closed for the day.”

From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “To help pay the expenses of the Biddeford high-Westbrook high debate … and also to give the people of Biddeford an opportunity to get a line on the team which will represent the school, the debating council will hold a debate at Assembly hall … next Wednesday evening. The question under discussion will be Resolved: That military drill should be compulsory in high schools.”
