LACONIA, N.H. (AP) — Some roads have been closed and some schools have been put under lockdown in Laconia as police tried to make an arrest.
News organizations reported police urged people to avoid Jewett Street in the River Street area on Tuesday afternoon.
Barricades were set up in front of the Laconia Spa near Church Street and on Beacon Street East and Union Avenue near River Street.
Holy Trinity School said it was on lockdown.
Laconia High School dismissed its students except for those who live in the affected area.
